Gonorrhea remains a significant public health concern globally. Our company is committed to pushing the boundaries in gonorrhea diagnosis using state-of-the-art technologies and customized solutions. Through the development of pioneering IVD reagents/kits and compact diagnostic devices, our goal is to tackle the intricacies of gonorrhea pathogenesis and diagnostic hurdles, revolutionizing the detection and management of this infectious disease.
Gonorrhea, resulting from the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae, is a widespread sexually transmitted infection (STI) on a global scale. This pathogen primarily infects the mucous membranes of the reproductive tract, including the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes in women, and the urethra in both men and women. Nearly 1 million new infections are identified annually in the United States. Hence, timely detection and diagnosis are imperative for the efficient control of gonorrhea.

Diagnostic biomarkers for gonorrhea play a crucial role in the accurate detection of the infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. These biomarkers can be used to identify the presence of the pathogen or the host's immune response to the infection. Here are some key diagnostic biomarkers for gonorrhea:
Bacterial DNA
Detection of bacterial DNA through nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) is a common method for diagnosing gonorrhea. Targeting specific regions of Neisseria gonorrhoeae DNA enables sensitive and specific detection of the pathogen in samples.
Bacterial Proteins
Certain proteins produced by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, such as outer membrane proteins (e.g., PorB), can serve as diagnostic biomarkers. ELISA and Western blotting are commonly used to detect the presence of bacterial proteins.
Host Antibodies
Host antibodies against Neisseria gonorrhoeae antigens, detected in serum or other body fluids, can serve as diagnostic biomarkers of infection. A variety of immunoassays are available to detect host antibodies, confirming the presence and extent of the infection.
Currently, there are several in vitro diagnostic (IVD) kits on the market for the detection of gonorrhea, mainly based on nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) or antigen detection methods. These kits are designed to accurately and quickly detect Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
Gonorrhea Rapid Test Kit
These kits typically use immunological methods to qualitatively detect Neisseria gonorrhoeae antigens in genital swabs or urine specimens.
Neisseria Gonorrhoeae PCR Kit
The kit utilizes the PCR method for rapid and qualitative detection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae DNA in samples.
With a deep dive into the pathogenesis and metabolic pathways of gonorrhea, our company is committed to pioneering advanced IVD solutions for precise identification and efficient management of this infectious disease. Our services encompass the creation of antigen, antibody, nucleic acid detection kits, along with supplemental diagnostic equipment.
