Autoimmune diseases represent a group of complex conditions. Our company is dedicated to advancing autoimmune disease diagnostics through a range of specialized services. Our expertise includes developing IVD reagents and kits for accurate disease detection, and designing and manufacturing IVD equipment for precise testing. Working with us, you will receive professional support to accelerate the commercialization of your diagnostic products.
Autoimmune diseases are a group of disorders characterized by an abnormal immune response where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues and organs. This immune system dysfunction leads to inflammation, tissue damage, and impaired organ function. Classic examples of autoimmune diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, etc.

Biomarkers play a crucial role in the diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of autoimmune diseases. These measurable indicators provide valuable information about disease activity, severity, and response to treatment. In the realm of autoimmune diseases, various biomarkers are utilized to aid in accurate diagnosis and management.
Autoantibodies
Autoantibodies mistakenly attack the body's own tissues, leading to autoimmune reactions, and they are commonly used as diagnostic biomarkers. For instance, antinuclear antibodies (ANA) target components of the cell nucleus and are present in diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjögren's syndrome.
Inflammatory Markers
Inflammatory markers indicate the presence and extent of inflammation in the body, which is a common feature of many autoimmune diseases. For example, C-reactive protein (CRP) is a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. Elevated CRP levels are associated with autoimmune diseases and can be used to monitor disease activity.
Serum Protein Biomarkers
Serum protein biomarkers are proteins present in the blood that can indicate the occurrence of autoimmune diseases. Cytokines are signaling proteins involved in immune responses. Abnormal levels of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha, can indicate autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.
According to the latest report, the autoimmune disease diagnostics market in the United States was valued at around $2.65 billion in 2023. It is expected to reach approximately $4.48 billion by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of 5.4% during the forecast period from 2023 to 2033.
